"Happy Hearts Day" is the second True and the Rainbow Kingdom special, and the twenty-first episode overall. It is the first special to have the length of a full episode.

Plot

True and Bartleby try to cheer up the Rainbow Kingdom's loneliest citizen, but his gloomy mood is contagious! Can a trio of Wishes turn things around?

The following Wishes were used in Happy Hearts Day:

  • Goopy, a bubbledome Wish that can keep anything contained.
  • Slurpo, a Wish that can vacuum everything.
  • Sizer, a Wish that can make something bigger or smaller.

Trivia

  • This is the second True and the Rainbow Kingdom special, following "New Year's Eve Countdown".
    • Like its predecessor, it is presumed to only be available on Netflix for a limited time.
  • This special revolves around the yearly Happy Hearts Day, the in-universe version of Valentine's Day.
  • It is the first official special episode of its kind, lasting a complete 22 minutes.
  • A song, tentatively titled Happy Hearts Day Song, is performed by True and Bartleby.
    • In addition, the mushroom chairs sprouting up from the tree when True, Bartleby, and Zee have a "think" are different than in previous episodes.
  • This is the first episode to use Netflix's new signature animation.
    • The episode also makes note of it being a "CBC Original".
  • Glummy GLooma's residence is revealed to be at Soggy Bottom Swamp.
    • This may be a reference to Foggy Bottom, the hometown of Mayor Humdinger on PAW Patrol, another show produced by Guru Studio.
  • The animation is slightly improved in this episode.
  • Cumulo is revealed to be female.
    • In this episode, her sides are smaller, and she also sounds slightly different.
  • The Wishing Tree sequence is very different from previous episodes. True levitates to a higher part of the tree to receive her three Wishes, and the Wishes now all state their names. Her vocals in this sequence have no reverb like in previous episodes.
  • True now says "Zoo, zip, zap, Wishes in my pack!" after receiving her Wishes.
  • Grizelda and Frookie do not appear despite being advertised in some promotional images for the special.
  • True and Glummy Glooma come up with a special day for Glummy Glooma called Glum Chums Day.
  • Purple rain falls near the end of the episode, to the liking of Glummy Glooma.
    • This could be a reference to the movie Purple Rain and Prince's song of the same name.
